You may have the A/UX version. I actually have a copy of A/UX, though I
don't use it (it would take far too long to whip into shape). The SC HD
Setup utility, though, doesn't check to verify a disc has Apple ROM's
though. The normal MacOS (7.5.3) utility does, but this behavior can be
changed with ResEdit.

What's the deal here? The HD SC Setup that I received from the
NetBSD/mac68k page seems to work just fine with non-Apple disks. I've
formatted Seagate and Conner disks with no problem.
