yes, but that does not help: the 4gb or bigger barracuda suck too much
current at spinning up. the guy from seagate who lead the seagate help
forum on compuserve (he is the author of the technical manual of the
barracuda - newman, but i'm not sure; memory is a bit weak about 3 or 4
years ago :)) ) advised me to use a second powersupply. not that nice
solution, having the case of the IIci always open.
personally, i helped me out taking away the floppy bay and putting in
their a second hd, booting from that one and mounting the the barracuda
manually with a mounter utility. for floppy i used an external one (the
IIci still has the external floppy adapter).
