Thanks to all who responded to my post. You have given me some very
good info.
	KDE does look bloated on my old mac, and I migrated over to NetBSD
because 
	it does seem a little more "spare". (What am I gonna do with all the
HD space?? ;)

	Chris: Both of my 575's have the full chip: went up to 36 meg RAM,
68040 CPU, and both have 
	increased HD space. Didn't cost all that much and the old girls
really sing now.....
