The pinout for Mac/Modem cables should be a FAQ, but I just looked
and it isn't. I'll have to give Colin something on the subject. If
this were a Mac printer then any old Imagewriter cable should have
the correct lines swapped.
You can use a voltmeter to check that you have the right polarity on
send and receive. (The send line should have a bigger voltage than
the receive line.) For the handshaking it gets more complicated.
