Hi,

some time ago (last July to be exact) I asked this list about running
NetBSD on my PB 190. I got a few answers and now I have established:
1. My lc040 chip is probably not broken
2. Testbooting gets to where it tries to mount the root partition

However, there it starts looking for sd0 and reports it can't seem to find
it. No wonder, since my pb190 only has an ide disk. I saw a few entries
from March that IDE support might be on the way, which sounds good. How is
the work going, if at all?

Also, someone pointed me to a site with pb kernels
(http://www.lisanet.org/~hamada/Acti/Netbsd/netbsd.html), but now this
site seems to have disappeared. (it worked only two weeks ago) Is there
somewhere else you can find the same info and files?

Of course, if anyone has a working pb190 with netbsd or any other free
unix, please let me know. Any help is appreciated!

Best Regards,

////
