I think the arrow keys will work if you use vt100. I never known PgUp/PgDn to work in vi except on Wind*ws. I use ctrl-b/ctrl-f.
Bash works fine for me on 1.4.0. I installed a binary package. Are you sure the path you're trying to complete isn't ambiguous?
