Thanks to everyone who pointed me in the right direction and cleared up
a few misconceptions I had. I have checked out the material and will
probably make the modifications once I get a little more time and a
soldering kit. The machine seems to be running fine and I will probably
make my changes on the spare motherboard. This response is yet another
indication of how practical it is to run a unix like OS as a desktop
system. Try getting this kind of help from Apple on a
Centri 650!
