Wanted to inquire as to the status of Color X on 1.4.1? I am running a
Quadra 610 and after installing the xOSFA server (or whatever it is called)
I still cannot get X to start. This is the output I get from 'startx >&
~/x.log'
/usr/libexec/ld.so: symbol __sys_errlist at 0x4230cf8 in
/usr/lib/libc.so.12.40 changed size: expected 322, actual 320
/dev/grf0: Couldn't get video mode information via ROM driver.
This is not a fatal error
I gather there is no ROM driver support for this screen...
I will treat this screen as StaticGray or TrueColor
Screen 0 at 0x423b000, 640 by 480, 16 bpp, rowB 2048, fbbase 0x6e3000.
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
I know it _used_ to work under 1.3 for me, but I didn't _see_ and update for
it, so I just used the one I had still tar'ed up on the mac partition...Is
there a newer version I should be using?
Thanks
Greg
