First of all this message should go to port-mac68k, not port-macppc,
because the Quadra uses a Motorola 68040 CPU. More notes below.

This is the problem. There was just a thread discussing it a day or two
ago. So people should be ready to help, I hope.

Apparently this Linux distribution sets something in the partition table
which we don't reset. Everyone who has hit this problem so far has solved
it by just reformatting the disk and starting over. Consequently we don't
know what is causing it.

If you could do something to dump the detailed partition map so we can find
the exact problem, then 1) you don't have to backup your MacOS partition
(though you should on general principles), and 2) we can fix this problem
for everyone.

Correct me if I'm wrong everyone, but I think if you go into Apple HD SC
Setup program in the partition display and tell it to show you the details
of the partition map that might do it. You will need to do a screen dump
to get the info in a format you can send to anyone I think.

Does anyone have a partition map dumper program they can send to this guy
as an alternative?

Good luck.
