Hello Allen,

with pain I installed all the 1.4 distribution on my Mac][ (somewhy i
had do shut down some of the scsi-devices otherwise i would continue
getting scsi errors in the install program)

the problem is of course X

- first launch: grey back, X in the middle, doesn't move on mouse..
stays there forever without disk activity

- second launch after the before it gets back to console and says
X connection to: 0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shut down)

- third launch all the before plus:
_x11ranssockect..... can't connect errno = 61
[message about being in root mode]
xterm Xt ewrror: can't open display: %s

besides everytime i try systeem hast to be forced rebooting and file
system corruptaa bit.

any ideas? i'm in b/w set from the booter and the rest seems to work
fine.
