So, I compiled my own custom kernel for the first time ever yesterday and
after I did so the ipc_sysv test in Perl 5.005_03 (CPAN source, not package)
magically passes now. The only changes I made from GENERIC (1.4) were to
comment out the NFSSERVER, NFS_BOOT_BOOTP, and DISABLE_EXT_CACHE (I am
running on a IIci w/ cache card) options. I also used the sbc driver since I
was actually using GENERICSBC before.

I have no idea why it works now but didn't before, but I'm happy with it d:)
