I am trying to install NetBSD 1.4 on a Quadra 650 with 24M RAM.

I have a 700M disk set up with 3 partitions, 100M MacOS, 24M swap, the =
rest root & usr.

The install goes OK, no errors. When I try to boot it seems to work, =
there are no error messages that I can see but right after:
     root file system type: ffs

I get the lines:
[date] init: /bin/sh on /etc/rc terminated abnormally going to =
single user mode
Enter pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:

If I hit return (or enter the path /bin/sh) I get:
[date]: single user shell terminated, restarting
Enter pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:

Using the mini shell in the installer I can see that /bin/sh is there.

I have tried reinstalling the etc package, reformatting the root =
partition with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken Lynde
