I am trying to set up Samba on a IIci running netbsd 1.4. It is just =
the precompiled binary version 1.9.18p8. I copied the smb.conf to /etc =
and commented out the lines for the prespecified public share, and then =
made sure all the windows hosts name were in the hosts file on the =
netbsd box, and also I included the netbsd box host name in the lmhosts =
files, and set the work group to the same thing on all machines.
The following message appears in the sambalog.smb file:
ERROR smb_shm_open : open failed with code No such file or directory
ERROR: Failed to initialise fast share modes - trying slow code
ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes!
ERROR smb_shm_open : open failed with code No such file or directory
ERROR: Failed to initialise fast share modes - trying slow code
ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes! =20
When I try to connect from the samba server (jake) to the samba server =
(jake) using smbclient, I get:
Added interface ip=3D10.10.82.4 bcast=3D10.10.82.255 =
nmask=3D255.255.255.0
Session request failed (0,0) with myname=3DJAKE destname=3DJAKE
Unspecified error 0x0
Your server software is being unfriendly
Any ideas?
