/ /
/ / I'm using 1.4 on LC475 without problems you said.
/ / A booter setting "Video address hack(for LC575&LC475)" is
/ / not needed to check in 1.4.
/
/ That was one of the first things I had tried. Some results either way.
/
/ / could you try to force MACHINEID 89 and boot 1.4 ?
/ / (Q605's machine-id may be 94 and LC475's one is 89.)
/ /
/ / You can force MACHINEID by using booter version 1.11.4a1 .
/ /
/ / I got this booter from following.
/ /
/ / ftp://ftp.macbsd.com/pub/NetBSD/macos/Booter1.11.4a1.sea.hqx
I stand corrected. With booter 1.11.4a1 the machine ID came up as
*95*. 95 gives the garled video. 94 hangs.
89 worked (listing the machine as an LC475). At the time, I was only
using an unconfigured base install -- so I wasn't able to do much, but
at least I know it boots!
What surprised me (and my addmittely limited degree on knowledge about
many of the low level details here) -- the video address mappings
shown were the same...
Is this worth filing a pr over?
Thanks!
