pkgsrc only contains the make files and pointers to where the source
resides. You need a working network connection in order to actually pull
down the sources and start the compile. However, to minimize time spent
waiting for the modem, there is a command ("make prefetch" I believe)
that will make a list of files to download, that you can then download
any way you want (one at a time, from another machine, etc.). Then you
put them in the appropriate place and the build will proceed normally.
