I'm still playing with both but it seems like NetBSD is farther along the path,
as far as working with my performa 575 goes. I can run the latest 1.4 kernels
and get 16 bit X (now that some generous soul has fixed the video offset
problem from 1.3.3) at 800x600. I also have use of the ethernet via a Apple LC
Sonic card which netbsd finds without a hitch. In short, I can use it as a
production server.
I keep trying new versions of maclinux68k but I have several problems with it.
The 2.0.36 kernels work nicely on my machine but the 2.2.x kernels die
immediatly. The maclinux sonic driver doesn't find the LC sonic card, the X
server only works in 2 bits of color and 800x600 is hopeless (black screen).
