Gidday,

I've got 1.4beta (May 2) running on my Q650.
The machine is on a local network which has
an internet connection using a proxy on a
dialup ppp link. Local network issues (ping, telnet)
work fine however I cannot get out into the internet
(though I can in MacOS).

My machine "bsdmac.blah.blah.nz"
Proxy "proxy.blah.blah.nz"
domain "blah.blah.nz"
All have valid class c ip addresses
all are entered in my hosts file
we do NOT have a name server running

resolv.conf (1.4) no longer uses the lookup command
with that functionality in nsswitch.conf.
The man pages are a little terse but I think I made
appropriate changes from the default and have the
dns line reading "file" only. Still no luck (sigh).

What else do I need to do ???

Cheers
Richard
