Started to recently, then got side tracked.  The netatalk page said (I 
thought) that netatalk was built into the kernel as of 1.3.  I'll let you 
know how I fare.

Oh---and if anyone else knows if netatalk works over IP between a mac and 
netBSD machine not appletalk-connected (different LANs, neither router 
exports appletalk), please let me know. I haven't seen that mentioned 
anywhere, so I'm not hopeful.
