That just means the file is busy, run sync a few times and knock on the 
case.

Oi! We've got our own installer. NetBSD might muddle things, IIRC.

I don't know if the kernel has support for ATA.

Snag a copy of the debian boot disks, Michael might be able to tell you 
where and just try repartitioning with mac-fdisk.
