The easiest thing to do is get a Mac-to-Modem cable, and then get a null
modem. Though there's a certain amount of fun in makig a cable, there are
all sorts of problems if things don't work right (debugging's a pain).

Since the Mac doesn't have parallel ports (not even on the latest PPC's),
a parallel cable won't work.

Take care,
