yes, you can use
<ftp://ftp.mklinux.apple.com//pub/Other_tools/Apple_HD_SC_Setup.hqx>
And read "6. How can I use Apple's free HD SC Setup 7.3.5 to partition my
drive for
MkLinux?"

<http://cobweb.dartmouth.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/jonh/faqomatic/sysconfig/disks/faq.pl?question=6>

and to reorder the partition table you can use
<ftp://ftp.mklinux.apple.com//pub/wip/pdisk/980218/pdisk_68k.hqx>
as well as see where things are located on the bus.

     . . I haven't lost my mind; it's backed up on tape *somewhere*!
