I am having some problems getting networking up and running on my computer.
I've got two hosts connected by an ethernet cross-over cable.

100.100.100.1 <------X-------> 100.100.100.2

100.100.100.1 is the MacBSD box. It has the following configs:

rc.conf

hostname="abulafia"
domainname="87elm.com"
defaultroute=""

resolve.conf

domain 87elm.com
lookup file bind

hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost
100.100.100.1 abulafia abulafia.87elm.com

ifconfig.sn0

inet 100.100.100.1 netmask 255.255.255.0

When I exit and MacBSD reboots I get the following message:

starting network
writing to routing socket: File exists
add host abulafia.87Elm.com: gateway localhost: File exists
starting rpc daemons: portmap.
starting system logger, time daemon syslogd: bind: Address already in use
timed: no network usable
.
checking for core dump....
savecore: no core dump
checking quotas: done.
building databases...
clearing /tmp
standard daemons: update cron.
starting network daemons: routedbind: Address already in use
etc. etc.

When I have started I can ping the local host, but I cannot ping
100.100.100.1. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what
might be happening here. Is there another file that I have got to edit to
bring this up?

Any insight that can be offered would be appreciated.

P.S. I've tried the same setup between the two computers before with other
OSes and I've had no problems.
