Just to make sure I'm being completely clear:  It never goes to the white
screen that I'm accustomed to seeing once the kernel starts running.  I
still have MacOS stuff: menubar, windows, icons, and everything.  But the
computer's frozen.

Okay, I tried zapping the PRAM with techtool, but that didn't help.  I
don't think I have a copy of 7.1 around here.  And no, this machine has
never booted NetBSD in the past.

Should I turn on debugging, and see what that says?  I don't expect to be
able to understand it...
