I just use a NetBSD boot floppy and when I'm turning on the machine I
just stick the floppy in. Its a little slow, but it goes all the way
to the NetBSD login prompt without my help. There is a how-to on
making this disk on

Its not a true netbsd only withou macos boot, but it works pretty
well.

My guess is that you could make a hard disk do the same (but please
don't erase your hard drive and say I said to do it.....)
