I believe that there is at least 1 howto on the subject on Puma:

and the NetBSD Networking HowTo might also be useful (I can't remember the
URL offhand, but it's available on www.netbsd.org's Docs page).

Personally, I found the Red Book (Unix System Admin's Handbook) pretty
helpful.
