Get the lynx source and compile it yourself.  I've built 2.7.2 myself
without ncurses and haven't seen this error or the other.

Well, X is not "windows".  Its official name is X Window System
Version 11 Release 6.3, and officially recommended abbreviations
include X, X11, and X11R6.3, but not X-windows, X-Window, or Xwindows.
(Yeah, I know it's not gonna go away, but it's a pet peeve of mine and
I have to say this once in a while)

Anyway, /sys is a symbolic link to /usr/src/sys which is where all the
source goes, so cd to /sys won't work unless you installed the source.
However, I suspect the file AfterStep is looking for is
/usr/include/sys/scsi/blah.  As to why it wants a scsi header, I have
no idea.  Maybe it wants to play audio CDs?
