Subject: booting hands right before copyright

Hello,
Setup: NetBSD 1.3, custom kernel (config file follows), extensions
disabled, GENERIC kernel boots fine, avail mem almost 30Meg,
installed mem is 32MEg.
The boot process doesn't get to the copyright banner. Did I miss an option
that I should have left uncommented.
Any ideas? (This is getting annoying).
