**A last minute add *** (I also installed the 7.6.1 upgrade if that might make a differance)

 My apologies to follow...

*Yes, all the files are there when I "ls"
*Yes, I can still install more files:
*No, I can not get it to boot: It doesn't matter what partition I tell it to use
Note: Silverlining tells me that "MacBSD" it is partition#3 ( referance Zacintosh is #2)

***** I am using
macbsd1.3
booter 1.11, ( I've booter 1.9 used to work also , not any more)
*****
installer1.1g: Under miniconsole "ls" shows all my files
I changed my SCSI and Partition numbers 0 thur 5.
I even deleted the installer preferances, rebooted and started over agian. to no avail'

Well I know that it is SCSI 0 and it was set to partition 3 ( untill I formated the MacOS partition)
and I do know that there are files there.  :{

Today I gave up and formated all, and started over again. The problem continues
it is as if, the booter has garbage in it, but I can't erase it, I deleted the prferances I have reinstalled the booter and tried older one just to see. Nope :(

booter manual:	my apologies, I downloaded what I thought was all of the FAQ's but obviously I didn't down load the booter manual. :(.
Yes there is a booter manual
http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/mac68k/booter-manual/BooterManual.html

[snip]
Partition -1 is nonexistent. Cannot open kernel (0,?)netbsd.
This error occurs when the Booter cannot open the partition you specified for the kernel.
Check for typos in the SCSI ID and/or Partition Name boxes in the 'Booting' dialog
window. Hint: The number in parentheses is the SCSI ID it is looking at.
[snip]

PS I used to boot from my zip drive and those files haven't change but they don't work now either
