I have a SyQuest EZ 135 that I use on the Mac side a lot, I have noticed 
that I have these problems as well.  Perhaps the Sywuest needs to be more 
Isolated from the machine like the JAZ (I believe) drives did when close 
to a 17" or larger monitor.  

I will experiment with this and send the original poster my results.  ON 
te other hand....my SyQuest cartridges seem to lose about 10 Megs each 
time I re-initialize/re-format them...hmmmm
