It takes forever for the tin to open:

Usually, when it loads, it reads (or downloads, if not found) the three
files: active groups, attributes and newsgroups.

A while ago it used to get stuck on active groups, but after I started
using -n option (read only the active groups) it does not anymore. Now the
last of three files (newsgroups) get erased every time tin exits (I checked
- it exists while tin is active.) After reading the active groups and
attributes (fast) it starts to download the newsgroups - and it seems to me
that it downloads the entire list every time.

Does it makes sense to you? I think the explanation is vague. Anyway, _IF_
you know what the deal is, and how to speed up the initialization, please
let me know.

Thanks.
