	Steve, this is a bit of an interesting one. Thanks for reporting it,
although I have no idea what would be causing it, or when I will get a chance
to start investigating.


	This reminds me of an _old_ joke:

Patient: Doctor. It hurts when I do this. [action]
Doctor:  Well, don't do that.


	My advice for the moment to other people contemplating OS 8.1 & HFS+
installs is _don't_
