Greetings again, everyone.
I got inspired today and downloaded the minimal (very!) X distribution and
installed it onto my macBSD MO partition. it ran B&W with very little
trouble
and with the addition of header files (from my linux box) was able to
compile some toys: mlvwm, dfm, xfrmcalc. a snapshot of my very-mac-looking
desktop is at http://www.cs.vassar.edu/~etgold/desktop.gif if you're
interested.

I noticed that on the working machines table on puma the C-650 entry
indicates uncertainty for ethernet and internal video. I used both today
without a hitch. Here's my boot dump for the curious (got sn0 working at
boot after this dump):
