Try redirecting stderr just to see if you get any kind of error message
that you can't see on the screen.

The X distribution is available on ftp.netbsd.org.  Take a look in the 1.2
release area.

Cool, it looks like my changes worked ;-)  What kind of
"miscellaneous/appliance" adb device do you have?

I've had this line for a year or more now, and it appears to have no real
affect on whether or not I can run X or use dt (I'm running X right now).
I don't think that there have been any internal video changes recently,
but I could be wrong...
