Well, if the files truly are "unused", you can always just delete them ;-)
Actually, I usually keep a copy of the tar file for the set of binaries
that I'm running so that I can restore anything that my hard drive decides
to nuke.  

How old is the kernel you're using?

Someone just posted a note on a page on PAP, btw.  It looked somewhat
useful (as did the entire chapter on PPP for that matter).

As for the source of these errors, I think that Allen is really the person
who needs to look at this one.
