It occurred to me a day or two ago that my long-running lost cause with 
capslock was a hardware peculiarity of my powerbook.  Which leads me to 
wonder:  can I remap the capslock key into control?  It is where God 
meant control to be on the big apple keyboard.  And even with these, 
err, large hands, the strain on the little finger to reach down to that 
corner is significant.

Similarly, does option send a modifier to x?  I'd love an extra modifier 
to configure lyx . . .
