I'd vote that this is a rude way to prevent spam. I've seen folks on
other NetBSD lists use other ways to avoid spam. Usually it's
somthing like the name's "name.spam@hello.net" AND there's a note in the
.sig saying how to edit the address to get the human.

There were some other clever ones, but I've forgotten them.
