I have tried to install and compile Perl 5.003 on my LCII (10 Megs RAM).

When I get to:
ar rcu libperl.a perl.o gv.o toke.o perly.o op.o regcomp.o dump.o util.o
mg.o hv.o av.o run.o pp_hot.o sv.o pp.o scope.o pp_ctl.o pp_sys.o doop.o doio.o regexec.o taint.o deb.o
globals.o

I get the error...

ar libperl.a Cannot Allocate Memory
Error Code #1

Am I correct in assuming that I don't have enough RAM to archive the
libperl.a file? And is there any way around this?
