Look in your /etc/syslog.conf file for anything out of the ordinary, such
as a line that starts with a facility but not followed immediately (ie, no
spaces) by a period and a log level.  For example,

	local2.* /var/log/local2

is a `good' entry, but

	local2 /var/log/local

is not.
