Everyone seems to be forgetting about this, but 1.2 does NOT run
without an FPU.

Albert: If your IIsi doesn't have an FPU installed, I'd suggest you
get one installed and/or install a NetBSD-current snapshot (not 1.2
official release).  You'll be much happier with an FPU than without it
(i.e. run faster), especially if you want to run X on it.  Several
companies sell FPU cards for IIsi.  Typically they come with either
one NuBus slot or one or two PDS slots.  Also, you might want to add
some memory if it's got less than 8meg.  16 would be much better.
