Your info here:

a) This is MacBSD, not linux; I doubt whether there is any linux you could
run on mac68k, although there has been the (n+1)th announcement of such a
beast recently.

b) For a formatter capable of creating AUX partitions, you might want to
look at the current Apple disk formatting tool ("Apple HD SC Setup") and an
appropriate patch kit ("Apple HD SC Setup 7.x.x patch"); try archie.
