Emacs 19.34 compiled right out of the box.  Thanks to everyone who
responded to my request for help, I was using an old version with a
highly-unfriendly, Stallmanesque warning about Macintoshes, as well as
a configure script that didn't recognize netbsd-apple-68k as a machine
type.
