I still get the error message on the middle of the instalation when I
install base12  "bad shecksum in tar header"

 I like to know what kind of unix partition do I have to use with apple HD setup

 is it the root&user slice 0 with the swap slice 1 ? or shall I use another
one ?

I split my hard drive with the apple and unix partition
then when I download base 12 with fletch I use binarie mode  and I save it as
gzip file is that correct ? ( it use to work when I install it the first time )
sorry for all those question but I'm lost , nothing seems to work
