This shouldn't be too bad. Do a survey and ask for the CRC in the NuBus
firmware format block near the end of the ROM. If the ROMs are truly different
then this value should be different.

Then you can separate the machines into types like:

MACHINE_MACLCIII_1
MACHINE_MACLCIII_2

Then rest is cake :)
