IMHO you are on the wrong track here. The cited TechNote is about not
locking a movable memory block and then accessing it at interrupt time
when the MacOS handle to it is not valid.

The MacBSD kernel has no movable memory blocks. Nor is the memory ever
moved that is allocated dynamically for ROM routines.
