This may be in the FAQ (I don't quite remember at the moment), but the
answer is that this is simply a problem with the Mac and interrupts. If
your machine is under a high enough interrupt load (like lots of serial
activity), it will start missing clock update interrupts (or something
like that), thus causing the machine to lose time. Apparently, this is
also a problem under MacOS, but it doesn't show up as severely as under
NetBSD. There are several solutions involving updating from a network
time server that have been posted to the mailing list before.
