There are some hfs utilities that do read and write to an hfs file system.
However I don't beileve that you can use these to MOUNT an hfs partition.
You can find the utils at http://www.mars.org/home/rob/proj/hfs/ . I have
been using the utilities through their X interface w/o any problems.
