	I've asked this question before, but maybe now that we're on the 
thread...=)  If you have a machine and you want to have a serial console 
running off it (as in the machine is fully up, running X, whatever, and 
you want to be able to login to it from a dumb terminal at the same 
time), you just edit /etc/ttys.. fine.  But, if you stop using dumb 
terminal (quit ZTerm), then you get complaints from getty about "retries" 
ad infinitum... any ideas?
