When I run gunzip on the archive at 
  <ftp://ftp.macbsd.com/pub/NetBSD/contrib/tex>,
it gets premature EOF very early. The original location given in
the FAQ is no longer valid. Can someone direct me to another
source, or replace the archive? (If not, I'd settle for directions
on how to recreate its contents.)
