	Hi guys.

	I finally got around to FTPing MacBSD 1.1 to try and install it
on my LC520 (for those who don't know, its an LCIII with an inbuilt screen,
CD and stereo speakers). It has 12MB ram and an FPU.

	My problems happened before I even got the kernel installed! (i.e.
while running mkfs and MacBSD Installer Utility 1.0)

	Thomas Bj|rn Andersen was kind enough to respond to a request in 
comp.unix.bsd.netbsd.misc, and pointed me to this mailing list, so here I
am asking the experts.


	Here is what I did:

1) Created appropriate partitions using 7.5.3's HD SC Setup program.

2) Boot machine from a System 7.1 "Minimal Startup Disk".
   -- Both mkfs and Installer do not allow "OK" button to be clicked. Hmmm.

3) Boot machine from internal disk (System 7.5.3).
   -- mkfs gives "Error on SCSIRead(), #5", but seems to format OK.
   -- Installer Utility says:

Mounting partition 'A' as /
Error on SCSIRead(), #5

4) Being brave, I continued.
   -- netbsd11 installed OK. Got half way thru base11. It hung with a dialog
      box saying "unimplemented trap [Restart]". The console said:

-r-x[usual tar-type stuff] /bin/sh
sz8192.


	Anyone got any ideas for this weekend (when my wife brings the 520
home again). In particular I am curious as to what "Error on SCSIRead(), #5"
means. Can I ftp the source code for these two MacOs utilities?
