I am a new user of netBSD/Mac. I have a question that I hope someone has
the answer to. I scanned the archive as best as I could, so I apologize if
this has already been addressed. I have a Performa 550 with no FPU (trying
to get one); I am using the 1.2 beta kernel #67, and the distributions
from July 21, 1996. I am able to boot into netBSD/Mac and use the command
line. The only problem here is that sometimes the video gets inverted.
My question involves X-Windows. I downloaded the March 95 distribution and
followed the installation instructions, but I cannot get X to start up. It
presents an error message something like:
	couldn't set video mode ...
and ends with:
X connection to : 0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)
I had my video set to black and white and all extensions off. Has anyone
seen this before and/or has anyone got X-Windows to run on a Performa 550?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
